looking for the right car (s)

you need two, one good one, one not so good one. crash damage on the second is acceptable as long as it doesn't impede the use of the front drive train, so rear crash damage or rollover damage is okay; front end damage is okay if it hasn't affected the drive train. . . by the way, does everyone out there know that you are getting ready to ruin (alter forever) a perfectly good car with this project? I've been searching ebay and other internet sales sights for something in the price range of approximately $1500.00 for the good/project car and $500.00 for the parts/crashed car. Also, as a side note, you need to understand that any race vehilce of this type is unsafe to the extent that it has been altered from its original manufactured condition, and we're talking about as altered as altered can get which equals about as far away from safe as you can be. . . keep this in mind while we continue . . . I'm kind of partial to the 97 - 99 body style of the tiburon so that's what I'll be looking for in my good/project car. The crashed/parts car can be any year from 97 - 2001 tiburon or elantra. You might find a crashed elantra cheaper than a crashed tiburon. Keep in mind the power train in the elantra is very similar to the tiburon, and works perfect for the swap. That's what we used in the first project.

We are going to take our time looking for the right two cars. We don't want to spend too much, and we want a good looking build when it's all said and done. We'll keep you "posted".
